The Place Located in the heart of the CBD at One Raffles Quay (ORQ) South Tower, Vino Tinto is a new Spanish tapas and wine bar which just opened recently by the same team behind Canchita and Tinto (Chefs Daniel and Tamara Chavez). The name Vino Tinto is named after the Spanish term for red wine, where the menu features over 30 authentic tapas starting from S$6, paellas, and an extensive selection of Spanish wines, sangria, and cocktails from S$14 a glass.

This new Spanish restaurant is located on the lobby of the office building, with an open concept seating layout for indoor and outdoor dining which is inspired by different parts of Spain. It presents Valencia on its alfresco area, Madrid in its main dining hall and Toledo on its terrace.

The Food By day, the space is also opened for breakfast where it serves Spanish coffee and freshly baked treats. For business crowd, I must say the 3-course set lunch is priced competitively at S$46++ per person.
My meal started with the Tosta Ramona (S$24) which features Crystal Bread, Spanish Anchovies, Burrata Cheese, Crushed Tomatoes and Dried Figs. I love that crisp texture of the Crystal bread and the anchovies and cheese combination is delightful.

The Padron Peppers (S$20) (V) is lightly grilled and served with Hummus, Marcona Almonds, Smoked Paprika Oil and Maldon Salt. A simple and light tapas to snack on!

A must order tapas in my opinion is the Pulpo A La Brasa (S$28), octopus dressed up with smoked chilli mayo, grapes, toasted migas and smoked paprika oil. The best part for me, other than that tender octopus, is the delish smoked chilli mayo that is whipped with Mexican chipotle chilli.

You really can’t dislike the delicious Seafood Omelette (S$22) as well which comes in a medley of Prawns, Fish, Calamari, Anchovy Aioli and Red Mojo Sauce.

For a vegetarian tapas, there is the Spanish Artichoke (S$12) (V) which features a fleshy heart of artichoke grilled with garlic butter and chives.

The last tapas I tried was the Tinto Bikini (S$18), a sandwich of Manchego cheese, serrano ham and truffle aioli. I love that firm texture of the sandwich, and it has a nice balance of cheese and truffle aioli to make it a very appetising version of Bikini sandwich.

On to mains, Paellas and fideuás are some of the mainstays and the Fideuá de Cerdo & Padrones (S$32) marries pork and noodles with Ibérico pork, Padrón peppers, chestnuts and a Spanish saffron aioli. Personally, I prefer the noodles to be even crispier with more char at the edges.

Alternatively, there is also the Paella De Mariscos (S$32) where the Spanish Bomba Rice is decorated with Potatoes, White Wine, Prawns, Clams, Calamari, Fish, Fresh Thyme, Tomato Sofrito and Garlic Aioli. Overall, the rice was a tad dry for me.

Desserts are available upon request, and you can ask the team for the selections available. I had the Tres Leches during my visit which is a traditional moist coconut cake with mixed berries and vanilla cream. It is quite rich on its own, so it is best to share this out.

Rants The restaurant is not opened on the weekends for now. The space is very open concept as well, which might not be to the liking of some diners.
Will I Return Again? Vino Tinto has a very good value Business Lunch Set Menu which is worth checking out. Overall, I also enjoyed the tapas dishes more as opposed to the paella and fideuá.
