The Dempsey Hill enclave is home to plenty of well-loved F&B concepts, and among them are Peruvian and Spanish restaurants Canchita and Tinto. What many might not know is that the establishments are both run by power couple chefs Daniel and Tamara Chavez.
This month, the duo unveils their third concept, Vino Tinto, a Spanish tapas and wine bar, right in the heart of the CBD. This is the second tapas bar to open in Singapore in recent months, with Esquina and La Bottega Enoteca’s chefs debuting Carlitos, a casual neighbourhood tapas joint in Joo Chiat last year.

No meal here is complete without a glass of wine – Vino Tinto borrows its name from the Spanish words for ‘red wine’ after all. The wine list features established Spanish wineries from areas like Rioja, Priorat, and Ribera del Duero. For the more discerning palate, there are also special finds from regions like Jumilla, Toro, and Montsant. And of course, as with any respectable tapas house, sangria is a must-have on the menu
